EPDM rubber seat seal for older-style commercial steam, water, retention, and expansion valves. A wear item that hardens and loses its seal over years of heat cycling.

INSTALLATION

PRO TIPS

  • If you're chasing a slow drip or weep from a steam or water valve even after replacing the handle assembly, check this seat seal — EPDM hardens and shrinks slightly with age, and a hardened seal won't reseat no matter how much the valve is tightened.
  • For higher-temperature or more aggressive-duty use, a Viton version of this same seal is available and holds up better to sustained heat.
