Details

Gicar 1/4" Standard Flowmeter

This is a genuine Gicar volumetric flowmeter with 1/4" female BSP fittings and a 1.15mm NSF-approved flow orifice, used across dozens of commercial espresso platforms to trigger volumetric dosing. Some flowmeters use 1/8" fittings instead, so confirm your port size before ordering.

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Fittings: 1/4" F BSP (both ends)
  • Flow orifice: 1.15mm, NSF approved
  • Mounting screws: M4 x 20mm pan head Phillips (thicker lid)
  • Polarity (clockwise): + 0 -

COMPATIBILITY

  • Fits: most Gicar-equipped commercial espresso machines, including Astoria CMA, Bezzera, BFC, Brugnetti-Aurora, Carimali, Ducale Vending, Elektra, Expobar, Fiorenzato, Futurmat-Ariete, Gaggia Spagna, Grimac, Italcrem, Lavazza, Mairali, MCE, Nuova Simonelli, Orchestrale, Reneka, Rhea Vendors, Ricambi Gardosi, Royal, San Marco, Sanremo, Scala, Vibiemme, Victoria Arduino, Visacrem and Wega — see manufacturer cross-reference for exact OEM numbers
  • Replaces: SKU W_457
  • Works with: the V_377 flowmeter electrical connector, needed on models (such as older Nuova Simonelli) that use a different electrical connection

INSTALLATION

DIY-friendly for anyone comfortable with basic plumbing and a couple of screws, though matching polarity and orifice size correctly matters.

PRO TIPS

  • Double-check the orifice size (1.15mm here) and fitting size (1/4" vs 1/8") against your old flowmeter before installing — a mismatched orifice will throw off your machine's dose calibration.
