Threaded insert that the CMA steam/water valve gasket holder (W_165) screws into. These can be labor intensive to remove, and in most cases you shouldn't need to, it's rarely the point of failure.

INSTALLATION

Technician recommended, removal is labor intensive and requires care to avoid damaging the mating gasket holder.

PRO TIPS

  • If you do need to remove the gasket holder this insert threads into, clamp it in a vice using rubber or wood jaw covers, not bare metal jaws, the gasket holder scratches and dents easily, and a damaged sealing surface will cause leaks even with a brand-new gasket.
